Cigna Travel Benefit

The Cigna Medical Plan includes a travel benefit for members:

  • living in a state where legislation prohibits specific services (i.e. elective abortions and gender affirmation services), and

  • living in a given area where specialized services may not be available (i.e. behavioral services and gender affirmation services [reassignment surgery and related services]).

Please contact Cigna at the phone number on your ID card for additional details on the Travel Benefit, as well as confidential assistance in locating an in-network provider in a state that allows for abortion or gender affirmation services or for an in-network provider that provides the specialized services mentioned above.
